NOYES® optical fiber identifiers (OFIs) are simple, rugged, easy-to-use test instruments that detect the presence of signals on optical fiber. OFIs are simply clamped onto a fiber where they induce a safe macro-bend in the fiber which allows a small amount of light to escape. By collecting and analyzing the light, the presence of network traffic, test tones and CW signals is detected and the direction of signal flow is determined.
NOYES OFIs are designed for inside plant and outside plant applications. Their rugged, drop-proof construction promises years of service. Designed for maximum battery life, OFIs feature automatic power down circuits that enable thousands of fibers to be tested before battery replacement is necessary. Thousands of units are in use today around the world.

The OFI 400HP is a rugged, hand-held and easy-to-use fiber optic test instrument designed to detect and measure the core power levels of optical signals on single-mode optical fiber without disrupting raffic on that fiber. The OFI 400 HP is specifically designed for use where high levels of optical power are present and provides a warning message when optical levels exceed 500 mW.
The OFI-FTTx is a rugged, handheld optical fiber identifer designed to identify the presence of an active ONT in any PON network.
The OFI-200D is a rugged, hand-held, and easy-to-use fiber optic test instrument designed to detect optical signals transmitted through a single-mode fiber without disrupting traffic on that fiber. It allows technical personnel to unambiguously identify a specific fiber and eliminates the risk of accidental disruption of revenue service.

The OFI 400 C is designed and calibrated for use with 250µm, 900µm, ribbon, 2 mm and 3mm jacketed optical fibers.

The OFI 400C is designed and calibrated for use with 2 mm and 3 mm jacketed optical fibers.
