Purpose-built for the needs of 3G & 4G wireless backhaul, business services, wholesale access and inter-carrier exchange services, the 3800 10GE nodes provide scalable wire speed Y.1731 and 802.1ag Ethernet OAM, as well as layer 2 & 3 monitoring.

1 μs measurement resolution with ultra-low delay performance

With support for 100 concurrent, per-flow OAM sessions at the edge (CE models) and 1,000 flows at the Mobile Switching Center (NE models) the 3800 10GE platform provides standards-based visibility to every tower, for every class of service.
Ring protection with EVC Add/Drop service delivery
Leveraging high performance ring protection based upon G.8032v2 with sub 50ms failover switching, the 3800 10GE can be used to extend highly resilient protected Ethernet services to support Carrier Ethernet applications including Mobile Backhaul and Business Services.
 
In response to demand for increasing accuracy and capacity in service performance monitoring equipment, Overture has introduced an ultra low delay 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GigE) service assurance platform based upon our award-winning 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GigE) edge units. The Overture 3800 platform consists of a aggregation node (NE model) along with a Edge nodes(CE model). Both deliver the features carriers demand, optimized for price/performance at both the core and edge of the network.
 
The Overture 3800 delivers high performance service assurance monitoring to mission-critical, high-density, 10GigE applications. They feature Fast-PAAs™ hardware-based engine at the core and an architecture proven in the widely deployed Overture 24 and Overture 26 service assurance demarcation units.
 
Wire Speed 10GigE Performance
Purpose-built for the needs of 3G & 4G wireless backhaul, business services, wholesale access and inter-carrier exchange services, the Overture 3800 provides scalable wire speed Y.1731 and 802.1ag Ethernet OAM, as well as layer 2 & 3 monitoring. This is complemented by bandwidth policy enforcement and VLAN-based service mapping to deliver total visibility and control for a 10GigE network infrastructure.
 
The Fast-PAAs silicon core ensures quality of service (QoS) marking, enforcement and traffic conditioning on the highest capacity network links. Fast-PAAs eliminates the delay of store-and-forward processing of Ethernet switches and routers providing the lowest delay solution available today. This enables the Overture 3800 to effortlessly handle 1,000s of flows in a full linerate link with mere microsecond transit time.
