KP radiation resistant cable

Features

  • Number of optical fibers: max. 24.
  • Heat-resistant, moisture-resistant, resistant to chemicals and fungi (PVDF jacket).
  • PVC application is minimal (according to NRC Regulatory Giude 1.189 “Fire Protection for Operating Nuclear Power Plants”).
  • Meets the following requirements:
    • ANSI-S-104-696 and Telcordia GR-409 (Weatherized Cable, water intrusion);
    • ANSI/ICEA S-83-596 (Premises);
    • Telcordia GR-409 Plenum, horizontal and vertical backbone cables).
  • NEC (National Electrical Code) OFNP classification.

Applications

PV cables with PVDF sheaths are optical cables for data transmission in industrial systems. Economical, robust, versatile cables. They can also be used in air circulation spaces (compressed ventilation), in flammable environments (cable trays, between building levels). The waterproof, moisture-resistant, fungus-resistant construction makes the cables suitable for installation in ducts between buildings (above freezing). Rough-touch, flexible, abrasion-resistant cables. It can also be used in ventilation spaces, between building levels, in cable trays, and in general industrial conditions.

  • Outer sheath: PVDF, fluoropolymer, fluorine-containing thermoplastic (mechanical strength, moisture, chemical resistant, heat resistant, low flammability).
  • Optical fibers: flame retardant, tight buffer.
  • Operating Temperature:         0 C° / +70 C°.
  • Storage temperature:          -40 C° / +70 C°.
  • Installation temperature:        0 C° / +70 C°.
