About Quantis QRNG PCIe
The new Quantis QRNG PCIe-40M and PCIe-240M embed Quantis QRNG IDQ20MC1 chips. They can be used in two modes:
- In entropy source mode, where the random bits are directly generated from the physical source
- In RNG data mode, where random bits are generated after a NIST compliant post-processing
Status checks performed at chip level ensure the QRNG provides the highest entropy, and any failure or attacks are detected.
PCIe-40M and PCIe-240M are provided with the Quantis Software that includes drivers for various OS, and EasyQuantis, a graphical interface to read and display random numbers and store them in a file.
Thanks to the Quantis Software, the last generation of Quantis PCIe cards can be used together with the legacy Quantis PCIe and USB.
Quantis QRNG PCIe Certifications
The Quantis PCIe-40M and PCIe-240M have been submitted to NIST compliant test suite and successfully passed NIST SP800-22 and SP800-90B, as well as Dieharder statistical tests.
ID Quantique is also working with affiliated labs in Germany on a Common Criteria certification for the Quantis QRNG chips embedded on PCIe-40M and PCIe-240M.
For a broader range of certifications, please see the Quantis QRNG USB which has been certified by multiple renowned organizations.
